About Lost Below
Lost Below is an underwater recovery and exploration mission being built around one clear purpose: create a responsible way to search for lost property, recover it safely, and reunite it with the person it belongs to.
Why It Exists
Why It MattersWhat looks like a small object beneath the surface may carry years of memories, personal meaning, or financial value above it.
Recovering it is rarely as simple as going back for it. Location, depth, visibility, currents, access, safety, and proof of ownership all affect whether a search can be attempted responsibly.
Phones, rings, watches, keys, keepsakes, tools, and other personal property disappear beneath lakes, rivers, docks, marinas, and shorelines every day. Some items have financial value. Others carry memories that cannot be replaced.
Lost Below is being developed to bring structure to that problem. The mission combines underwater search skills, recovery equipment, clear documentation, ownership verification, and a future platform that can connect the right people to the right cases.
The project is still in its build-and-prepare phase. Training, equipment testing, operating standards, public resources, and the technology behind the platform are being developed before active recovery work begins.
The Core Idea
Finding an item is only the beginning. The work must also be safe, documented, and built around returning property to its rightful owner.
Locate the ItemTurn the last-known location, time, water conditions, and item details into a documented search area.
Bring It Up SafelyRetrieve the item with a plan that protects the diver, the site, and the condition of the property.
Verify & ReturnMatch the recovered item to verified ownership, document the handoff, and return it to the right person.
Website & Platform
LostBelow.com explains the mission and documents the work. The future platform will organize recovery cases, protect sensitive details, and support verified return.
The website documents the journey, training, equipment, educational resources, videos, and public identity of Lost Below.
The future application will support lost-property reporting, ownership verification, recovery partners, controlled access, and documented case activity.
Sensitive details remain private, ownership is verified, and every participant is protected by clear roles and documented steps.
